Burma Hicks - September's Woman of the Month

Burma Clo White Hicks was born to hard-working and loving parents in a small Alabama town. Burma’s family was conservative; therefore, she was taught such lessons as sewing and working on the farm, as well as modesty and keeping the Sabbath. Burma married and later gave birth to three beautiful daughters who are the crown jewels of her life. After her marriage ended, Burma supported her family by sewing and driving the school bus in her town. Burma was well-respected and known as a friend to all.

When Burma was 41 years old she found her passion for sales. It started with a vacuum she bought and absolutely loved. She called the salesman and asked how she could do what he was doing. She knew if she believed in something she could do it! Burma began selling vacuums and soon branched out to other sales opportunities. When an aunt in town was trying herbal supplements, Burma decided to see if herbs would help her daughter, who had suffered chronic joint pain. When her daughter improved, Burma knew she wanted to sell herbal supplements. No one thought Burma could make money selling herbs but Burma’s response was “Can’t never would – won’t never will.” Burma opened a small shop (about the size of a closet) and went to work. Her little store grew and four years later she moved to a big shop in the center of town. Today Burma’s little shop is very successful and a big part of her community.

Burma was introduced to Unicity International by a friend. She loved the products and enjoyed their results. Burma was hooked! She ordered two of every product and took the time to learn about each one and how it could help people. This is Burma’s passion.

Burma is an outstanding leader in Unicity. She is on the Presidential Board of Advisors and is currently ranked as a Presidential Saphire. Thousands of people have come to Burma for nutrition and health advice over the last 17 years and she is trusted and appreciated for her caring and confident manner. Burma is also a master salesman – and a wonderful friend. Her philosophy has always been, “Treat others as you want to be treated!” The deep roots of love and faith instilled in Burma at an early age really live in her today.

Thank you Burma! For your hard work, dedication, and continual service to those around you!
