Waynella McNeil - July's Woman of the Month

“I know in my soul that what I’m doing is good. It’s a wonderful company and wonderful people.”

Waynella McNeil works from home in shorts and a t-shirt. She wakes up to breezy Hawaii weather and birds singing outside her window.  Before joining Unicity International over ten years ago, Wynella was an executive at Northwest Airlines.  Now she spends her time enjoying beautiful weather and educating people about the health benefits of Unicity’s products. She believes it’s about “helping people have a healthier life.”

Waynella sells products and builds a network as a source of income, but more importantly she aims to educate people. When she first started as a Franchise Owner, her sister had just been diagnosed with breast cancer. Waynella discovered Unicity’s BSE (Breast Self-Examination) pads and subsequently became an advocate of teaching women about breast cancer. She teamed up with the American Cancer Society and began speaking and volunteering at events.

Later, she found that heart disease was prominent in her family. Bios Life became another method of educating her peers. Working as a Wellness Consultant with her doctor, she has spoken to various groups, such as Brigham Young University at Hawaii, the PTA, Rotary clubs and corporate wellness centers (to name a few) about preventing heart disease. She’s seen great benefits in her own life that she says, “I refuse not to share. All you’re doing is sharing, not pushing to sell.” McNeil’s business has been wildly successful.  An “important key is listening to people.” When we know what they want, where they are, we can help them arrive at a decision; “don’t push them. ”

In addition to her passion for heart-disease education and prevention, McNeil enjoys her family and staying fit. She has two children and eight grandchildren. Recently, she returned from a weekend get-a-way exclusively for the girls in her family.

Last year, she joined an all women’s boot camp focused on fitness. This group meets five days a week from 5:30-6:30 AM. In the beginning, she couldn’t complete one push-up. Now, she is able to do 37 “military style” push-ups in one minute.  She also loves tennis, biking and has hiked Mount Fuji three times.

Waynella McNeil is striving to Make Life Better for herself and the people of Hawaii. To the Unicity Women, she says “feed your soul…it’s been a wonderful, rewarding journey so far.”

Congratulations, Waynella, on your successes in health and business.  We are excited to feature you as Unicity’s Woman of the Month for July!
