Christie Osuagwu, RN, MSN, MPA, FNP, is not afraid to open her mouth. Three months after starting to drink Bios Life Slim™, Christie went from a size 12 to a size 8. She calls herself “living evidence” of the product’s authenticity and she “can’t stop telling people.” Whether at church, in the parking lot or at her work, Christie will approach any person who looks like they would benefit from using Bios Life Slim. She is passionate about Bios Life Slim!
Christie’s passion extends from her genuine concern for people, “I’m drawn to care for people, and it’s like a passion. I don’t like to see people suffering.” One day, while sitting in a doctor’s office, she noticed an obese girl eating a bag of potato chips. Feeling like she could help, Christie walked over to the girl, sat down and introduced herself. In her caring way, she told the girl, “I have something that can help you. It’s helped me, and I believe it can help you.” Smiling, the girl took Christie’s Bios Life Slim card with a “Thank You.” The girl may or may not call to purchase the product, but Christie was able to share something important to her because “when people know that you truly care about them, they tend to listen.”
And people do listen. Christie gives presentations to local churches, and serves on the health advisory board in her local school district. She talks to people in her clinic and wherever the opportunity presents itself. After approaching a local store employee about Bios Life Slim, she got a call from the store. They asked her to come and do a presentation during Women’s Health Week.
After 18 years of working at a local university hospital in different administrative and clinical capacities, Christie went back to school in 2000, to become a family nurse practitioner. During her last four years at the university hospital, she became actively involved in research on diabetes. In December of 2006, she took an early retirement in order to focus on completing her doctoral program in public health. She opened up her own clinic in March, 2007 with a focus on obesity prevention, health promotion through patient self-management and education. She is nearing conclusion of her Ph.D. in Public Health with specialization in health promotion and education.
Last winter, she found a tiny ad in her nurse practitioner magazine about a product that naturally helps people to manage blood sugar, cholesterol, and burn fat. Knowing that the majority of her diabetes patients suffer from obesity, she folded the page with the intent to call about the product. By April 2008, she was an official Bios Life™ Franchise Owner for Unicity International and approaching everyone about the benefits of Bios Life Slim. She and her loved ones have reaped great rewards - her husband has lost four inches in his waist and her daughter is currently using the product. Passion for sharing her success has led her to qualify for the Paradise Rewards Trip to Hilton Head after only three months as a Franchise Owner!
In her short time as a Franchise Owner, Christie has already achieved the rank of Senior Director. Why the great success? It’s her passion and dedication, “If we want to do anything, we must do it diligently; I’m very persistent.” Christie believes that Unicity has a good product. “Bios Life Slim has the potential and ability to restore health, give hope to a lot of people, and to give freedom, freedom from both physical challenges and from financial worries. We should have the passion to share this product and not hesitate to tell people how they can benefit from it.”
Congratulations, Christie, on your successes in health and business. We are excited to feature you as Unicity’s Woman of the Month for August!
